If you've sold through lead-generation sites before, Happyn will feel different — and the difference is worth understanding before you set anything up.
On a lead site you fill in a profile and wait for someone to enquire, then quote them privately. On Happyn you publish listings: individual things you sell, priced up front. Customers configure what they need, pay, and the booking arrives with you for approval. No quoting back and forth, and no chasing anyone for their event details.
The full walkthrough — about three and a half minutes, start to finish. Everything below covers the same ground in writing.
One for each thing you sell, with your real prices and your terms.
They set their own guest count and options. The price updates live.
Card authorised, not charged. Their date, details, and your payout.
Approve and you're paid out. Decline and nobody is charged.
Everything lives in your shop. Rather than one profile describing everything you do, you publish a separate listing for each thing you actually sell — and you can see how each one is performing.

You can charge a flat rate. But you can also charge per unit — per person, per hour, per table — and set volume pricing so bigger events get a better rate automatically. Set a minimum so you never get booked below your floor.
The preview on the right of the pricing tab is exactly what a customer sees, updating as you type. If it looks right there, it's right.

Lead time is how much notice you need. Set it once and Happyn holds the line: if someone tries to book inside that window, your rush fee is added automatically. You never have to ask for it, and you never have to justify it.

Logistics covers your setup time and how customers get the service — you drop it off at their event, they collect from you, or you offer both and let them choose.

Suggestions work out the right quantity from the customer's guest count, so they order sensibly without having to ask you first.

Published, your listing shows your photos, what's included, your lead time and your policies — all of it out in the open before anyone contacts you.

They tie it to their event and enter their own numbers. Forty-five guests at $45 a head prices instantly — service fee, travel and all. This is the step that replaces a week of email.

Customers confirm their date and venue address at checkout, and that travels with the booking. You will never have to ask for it separately.

This is the part most vendors want to know about.
When a customer pays for a service, their card is authorised, not charged. The money is held. Nothing moves until you approve the booking — and if you decline, or the window lapses, they are never charged at all.

Everything you need to make a decision is on the card: the date, the guest count, the location, the options they chose, the deadline to respond — and what you will actually be paid.

Happyn takes a 6% platform feefrom the price you set. The 8% service fee you see on the customer's side is charged on top of your price and never comes out of your payout — see How Disbursements Work for the full breakdown.
The window scales with how close the event is, and it's counted in business hours — the clock pauses overnight, so a request that arrives late in the evening doesn't quietly expire while you're asleep.
You can also approve or decline straight from the text or email notification, without signing in — see Responding to Service Inquiries.
Approveand the held payment is captured, the booking is confirmed, and the customer's full event details and contact information unlock.

Happyn also opens a message thread with them, so the planning conversation stays attached to the booking instead of scattering across your inbox.

Decline and the authorisation is released. Nothing is charged, the customer is told immediately so they can book someone else, and your date stays free. Declining costs them nothing and costs you nothing — you are never obliged to take a booking.
