What Event Information Is Shared With Vendors
When you book a service on Happyn, some of your event details are shared with the vendor so they can confirm availability and deliver their service. We share this information gradually — and only what a vendor needs at each stage. You stay in control, and once a vendor has your details, you never have to re-send them.
Before a vendor accepts your inquiry
When you first send an inquiry or book a service, the vendor only sees enough to decide whether they can take it on:
- Order information - listing name, quantities, etc.
- Your event date and time
- The city and state of your event
- Your first name and first initial of your last name (for example, “Jane D.”) — your full name stays private
At this stage the vendor cannot see your full name, contact details, full venue address, guest count, or event theme. They'll see a notice prompting them to accept the inquiry before any further details are revealed.
After a vendor accepts your inquiry
Once a vendor has fully agreed to your inquiry, they have committed to working with you — so the details they need to deliver become visible:
- Your full event details — name, type, guest count, and date
- The full venue address
- Your event theme, colors, and keywords
- Your full name and ability to contact you through the app, so you can message each other directly
What we never share
Some information is always kept private to you and is never shown to a vendor, at any stage:
- Your private event notes
- Your theme inspiration images
Why this means less work for you
Because your event details flow to a vendor automatically once they've agreed, you don't need to retype your date, venue, guest count, or contact information in messages later — they already have it. You can keep your event details up to date in My Events and your vendors will see the latest version.
